Ingredients;

  • Flesh of 2 ripe avocados (approximately 240g)

  • 1/4 cup regular cocoa powder

  • 1/4 cup Dutch cocoa powder or melted chocolate chips

  • 3-4 tbsp milk of choice (adjust based on consistency)

  • 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract

  • 1/8 tsp salt

  • Sweetener of choice to taste (e.g., 1/4 cup pure maple syrup)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare Ingredients: Ensure the avocados are ripe and scoop out the flesh. If using chocolate chips, melt them ahead of time.

  2. Blend: In a blender or food processor, combine the avocado flesh, both types of cocoa powder (or just one, depending on which version you prefer), milk, vanilla extract, and salt. If you choose melted chocolate chips, the pudding will have a richer flavor. For the Dutch cocoa version, expect a deeply chocolatey but slightly less rich texture.

  3. Adjust Consistency: Start with 3 tablespoons of milk and add more if needed. The amount of milk may need to be increased if using granulated sweetener instead of a liquid one like maple syrup, to achieve a smooth consistency.

  4. Sweeten to Taste: Add your preferred sweetener, adjusting the quantity based on how sweet you like your pudding. Maple syrup not only sweetens but also adds a smooth texture.

  5. Blend to Smoothness: Process all ingredients until completely smooth. Scrape down the sides as necessary to ensure all components are well integrated and the texture is creamy.

  6. Serve or Chill: Enjoy immediately or chill in the refrigerator if you prefer it cold. The pudding can be garnished with chocolate shavings, fruit, or a dollop of whipped cream for an extra special touch.
