Ingredients:

  • 1 cup flax seeds

  • 1 cup pumpkin seeds

  • 1/2 cup sunflower seeds

  • 1 cup sesame seeds

  • 1/3 cup poppy seeds

  • 1 tsp sea salt

  • 2 cups warm water

Milk Making:

  1. Begin by giving the soaked almonds a good rinse under cold water.

  2. In a blender, unite the almonds with water, sweetener, vanilla, and cinnamon. Blitz on high speed until the mixture looks white and utterly creamy.

  3. Over a bowl, strain the blend using a nut milk bag or cheesecloth, collecting the milk. Don't toss the almond pulp; it’s the star of our next act.

Part 2: The Brownie Base

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup reserved almond pulp

  • 1/3 cup hazelnuts

  • 1/3 cup macadamias or peanuts (choose your adventure)

  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips or coarsely chopped pieces of a dark chocolate bar

Browie Baking Steps:

  1. Start your baking journey by preheating the oven to 180°C (350°F), a warm embrace for what's to come.

  2. Mix the almond pulp with hazelnuts, macadamias (or peanuts), and dark chocolate chips in a bowl. Stir until just combined, then pour into a lined or greased baking pan.

  3. Bake in your preheated oven. Start checking at 25 minutes; when a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs (not wet batter), it's done. The exact time will depend on your oven and the thickness of the brownies.

  4. Allow to cool (if you can resist) before slicing into squares of pure joy.
